Walmart is 3 miles from home. Academy is like 35 miles away. Plus I have increase in Wallyworld credit.

If you present the ad showing Academy's price they will. If you don't have an ad, but are insistent, sometimes Wal-Mart will call the competitor and verify their price. I recommend asking for a manager ASAP if you plan the latter course of action. |
I can afford it. Have my $600 Uncle Sugar check coming. Just don't feel like waiting for it to arrive.

Print out their website displaying the price. Take it into Wal-Mart. I'd include a copy of the link. However, sometimes Wal-Mart won't honor prices for places beyond a certain distance...they consider themselves "not in competition" with far away places. I don't know the exact distance, but an example would be a Wal-Mart in Kennesaw not matching the price of a Target in Jasper. @ 35 miles, I think you're pushing it, but you're only losing $9. |

In store prices are sometimes cheaper than the online prices. Call your local WM and find out what they cost at the store. If you bring in an ad, and the store is within a reasonable distance then they should match the price. Some WM stores will go comp shopping at other local retailers. They may have already marked the gun down 5% under the other store's price. |

Walmart is just alot closer. ETA: The door checkers leave me alone usually, since they see a receipt in my hand on the way out.
