The new Johnny Cash movie....

I was against it.  I thought it was a movie someone threw together after he died.  But then, on CMT last night there was a 30 min "making of..." type show.  I guess Johnny was involved from the beginning, as was his manager, and a lot of people from his past.

I think I am going to see it, now.

Anyone heard anything good or bad - other opinions?

I'd rather wait and see it on DVD but I'll be seeing it in the theater because the wife told me last night I have to. While I'm not much of a country music fan I like JC, meet him at the Nashville airport back in the '80s and the man was very cool.

Pheonix (I cant spell his first name) does all the singing in it. Cash's family has seen it and all loved it, if it passes the family test, then it's good to go in my book.  I'll see it when it's released, I missed a free pre screening last night.

I love Johnny Cash's music but his biography doesn't interest me all that much.

I love Cash's music, but I heard that Phoenix, playing him in the film, insisted on "pleather' cowboy boots...

I saw it in theaters last night with my dad. Wow - one of the best movies I've seen this year. Worth the price of admission in my opinion.
