I've begun to notice music tracks on my computer that I didn't download.  Furthermore, when I delete these tracks, they reappear the next time I start up my computer.  Is this a virus or spyware?  Anyone hear of this before?  Anyone know what I need to do?

Sure sounds like it. I've never seen them in a music dowload like you describe though.

What are you using to download music? Use Limewire, no bullshit there like on KaZaa.

that is teh spyware.

the only way to get rid of it is to reformat the drive

seriously though, that is what I had to do to my old PC. Don't use Kazza or limewire. They will download GATOR spyware on to your machine and it is damn near impossible to get it off. I used to use Soulseek to d/l, which is a no spyware P2P

It sounds like you're schizophrenic.  Your other personalties obviously downloaded those backstreet boys and michael bolton tracks, and they are very pissed that you keep downloading them.

Run pandasofts free online virus scan, adaware, search&destroy, and check what is loading with hijackthis.

A lot of it is shitty new metal, although some isn't bad at all.

The weird thing is, I've never downloaded music to this computer outside of straight P2P transfers via AOL instant messenger, and don't have ay file transfer programs.
