CT:
I've explained this many times and at length in a thread yesterday. Suffice it to say it has to do with where they were raised and the fact that most US jews don't know anyone who was directly effected by events in Europe in the 1930s and 40s. Their perspective is totally different. This fortunately is changing and will continue to change over time. For Centuries Jews were a minority in Europe and America and always followed a don't bother anyone and they won't bother you mentality. They are of course wrong, but this line of thinking translates to guns as well. They figure if they are unarmed noone will harm them but everyone else should be unarmed too. Again, wrong. Fortunately this is changing through education. Over the last several months, I've seen lotsa Jews at Galyans buying guns to go with the new CCW law. My wife figured its not that they didn't want guns before, its just that there wasn't a trendy enough shop to buy them in. Now there is, and just accross the city line from the Largest Jewish Community in NE Ohio.
BTW, I don't see Crimson trace products at Galyans and Jews would buy them, its neat, its expensive and it looks cool, they'll buy it.
