Well, I guess I'm snakebit when it comes to vacations.  Last year I was in Key West about 18 hours before Hurricane Dennis sent us packing.  This year I threw my back out on the first day off.  I've never had it this bad.  I think my bulging disc is herniated now, but I won't know until the MD calls me with the X-Ray results.  Hurts like hell to stand, to sit, to walk or to lie down.  I've spent the last 5 days in agony and eating Lortabs which seem to help by about 5%.  Got a cortisone shot at 8:15 am, and here it is 1:30 am with no improvement.  I'm ready at this point to have myself cryogenically frozen until they invent a spinal repair pill.

Normally I'll aggravate the disc, and it hurts for 2-4 days.  This is at least 5x more painful than it has ever been, and after 5 days is actually worse than the day it started.

Yeah, know the feeling.  Try putting your back out while away on vacation.  The wife and I spent our first year anniversary in Gatlinburg TN.  Got there on Monday, threw my back out on Wednesday morning by .  Yeah the next 3 days were living hell.  My whole right leg felt like a constant cramp/burning, followed by numb toes.  As soon as we got close to home we went right to the ER where I got some shot & some pain pills.  Followed by an MRI, Back Surgery, and now a nerve blocker.  Nothing like telling an ER nurse you threw your back out having intercourse.

Man I feel your pain. I've had back problems for the last 7 years. It's a bitch. Hope the pain decreases soon.
