Not guilty...when girls take picks with those faux duck lips they can play the trombone real good
A young Virginia couple visiting New York City attacked a transit police officer, hitting him repeatedly with his own baton and choking him with the chain attached to the shield around his neck when the officer tried to arrest one of them for turnstile jumping, prosecutors charge. Alexander Telinde, 21, hopped a turnstile, according to police, about 11:40 p.m. on April 12 at the Morgan Avenue L train stop in East Williamsburg. A transit police officer stopped Telinde who was with his 20-year-old girlfriend, Emily Weber, according to police and posts to social media accounts, but the couple fought back. "You're not real cops. Those are fake badges," Weber said, according to police. Link |

If you've never seen a plainclothes officer and some guy with a badge on a necklace starts yelling at you I can see the confusion.

Well that's that then.
These transit cops have got to get MRAPs. |

Dang. I guess they might be in a ton of trouble. That really sucks if they honestly thought they were being scammed. It sounds like lots of time traveling to new york for court.

As a former flatfoot, I'll just say that doing plainclothes gigs for revenue (yes, it is) is pretty stupid.

Yup the guy jumping a turnstyle (evading fares) might honestly be the victim of a scam. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I bet the transit cop is secretly thanking them since he can now go out on disability, retire to Florida, and run marathons.

I thought the chain around the neck might be some sort of safety infraction seeing how clip on ties were recommended for LEO's.

""You're not real cops. Those are fake badges," Weber said, according to police.
Then Telinde grabbed the officer's baton from his belt and hit him repeatedly over the head, on his right eye, left shoulder, across the lips and on both knees, authorities said. He yanked at the officer's police shield that was dangling from his neck causing the man to choke, prosecutors said. Weber punched the battered officer in the face and then tried to run away, officials said." Kid doesn't look like he had it in him.... |

I will bet their parents are from nowhere near Virginia, even if they, were born in Northern Virginia

I wonder if his NY cop buddies will now tease him about the beat-down he got?
