Why is RI the only state left that still honors this day? Victory over Japan, that's a good thing right? Thousands of our service men died in performing this, not to mention all the POWs the Japeneese captured and tortured and killed. Did these men die in vain becausefor some reason VJ Day has become politiclly incorrect? Now they want to change the name of the day as to offend the Japaneese, I think this is a slap in the face to these fine men and I'm somewhat glad my father is no longer here to hear this crap!
