I'm in the market for a new vehicle and am interested in getting a truck.  Anyhow, I found a 2006 Ford F-250 Lariat 4X4 with a lift and new tires and rims that is in excellent condition.  My only concern is that it has almost 141k miles on it.  I don't know anything about diesel engines (or cars for that matter), so is that too many miles?  What would you do?

BTW, they are asking $22k for it.

Thats a gorgeous truck, BTW, but not for 22k.

If you got 22k for a truck, put it on a new one. You'll be so much happier to have a warranty when shit starts breaking, which is going to be immediately at 140k miles on an 06' diesel.

Oops.  Meant to say I'm looking for a used truck.

Yeah, I figured $22k was high.  I never made any kind of offer just because the mileage concerned me.

The stock wheels look better, all they need is bigger tires.

22k is actually not too far off the mark for used diesels with that kind of mileage now adays. But if its the dreaded 6.0, Just say no!

no one wants a ford 6.0
that is moronicly high priced for a 6.0 with that many miles.
for a duramax LBZ or newer, no 200k miles is just broken in. and you will pay about 20k for one with 200K miles on it.
those are worth it.
that truck is NOT worth it.
