I am in Beloit WI. Right on the WI/IL border.  We have gotten around 6" of snow so far tonight. High winds from the east around 40 mph. Lots of drifting, and very bad visibility. Seen a couple cars abandoned right in the middle of the road, where they got stuck. No plows out at all. The forcast is for up to 12" overnight, and high winds. It was sleeting for about an hour earlier. Now its changed back to snow. There was some lightning earlier. When I seen it, I thought a power line was arcing out. Hopefully the power stays on. We are under a blizzard warning until 6 p.m. Sunday night.

Your resident idiot reporting in:  I left Louisville, KY at 4:00pm Eastern on Saturday and arrived home in Wisconsin at 6:00am Central today.  Been up for 30+ hours straight.

Rain started the same time I left KY and was mostly sleet and rain until the WI border where it started to change to snow.  Roads north of Milwaukee were pretty much untouched by plows and at times visibility was near zero.  Drifts up to 4 ft. in a few places.
