I picked up a copy of Unintended Consequences last week and I am about halfway through. I'll probably finish this weekend and then I'll give it to my dad to read. My dad will probably finish it in 2 days or less. I am going to donate this copy to the membership of AR15.com because all of us here should read this book. We'll do this like the last time this was done. I'll send it to someone and when they are done, let the board know and send it on to another member. Hopefully it can get around to quite a few members. Everyone who reads it should put their username (no real names) in the inside front cover. It'll be like a chain letter! [rolleyes] Whoever wants it first, e-mail me. Contact me by e-mail only because I rarely check IM.

I was going to do the same thing!!

I guess I'll put my copy up when I finish it as well... though I think everyone should eventually buy a copy to support the author and publisher.

When the ATF pulls that book, somewhat intact, out of the ashes of one of you goons' bunker/home/apartment/trailer, I'm not so sure I want my username at AR15.com written inside the front cover.[;)]

If you don't want to put your username in then just put your real name in. [;D] Oh, don't forget to add address and SS#. Oh, and serial numbers of all guns. [:D]

I downloaded this book in a pdf file for free and it is worth what I paid for it IMHO. I am about 550 pages into it and am hoping it gets better. The Henry Bowman superman stuff is getting old. Is there nothing he can't do perfectly?

I will reserve judgement until I am finished but but it seems that the author is trying to live out every fantasy he ever had.

Incendiary in...on the way!

The book should be required reading in order to graduate from high school and college.

Buy the book!

Any news on the sequel?

I've read it three times, and I'll probably read it again.

I agree that it should be REQUIRED reading before High School Graduation.

Yawn....I have not read it, but I hear that it was next on Timothy McViegh's reading list. That is, if he had not been lethaly injected before getting a chance to read it.

I enjoy a good adventure or political thriller as much as the next guy, but I'm afraid the the patriot superman novel only serves as a sort of anti goverment porn, for guys that masterbate themselves to sleep at night dreaming of a civil bloodbath in this country.

They're the same guys that made the Mack Bolan Exicutioner novels Chic empowerment reading for pimple faced goof balls wearing French Foriegn Legion Berets and asking you how to convert their 1022 to full auto at the gun shop in the Eighties.

Great reading for Walter Mitty's who dream of personal heroism and and a warped killing spree in the ashes of our nation.

I'd ask for it, but I got my copy from a JPFO booth at a gun show right after it came out.  Bought it right after wiping my feet on a UN flag, and at the same time at "Michael New: Mercenary or American Soldier?" and "The Federal Siege at Ruby Ridge."

Much of my library is available locally on a "loaner" basis - all I ask is that I DO get the book back, and in near or same condition as it left my hands.  That's all.  I may have to start issuing library cards sometime soon...

AND, I just got it as a .pdf, so I can read it in meetings and look like I'm working...  Ain't technology great?

I'd still like to find an etext copy of "Atlas Shrugged," but I did score "1984" and "Animal Farm" - both of which were required reading when I was in high school.  Pity they aren't anymore...
