I think it is a semi auto option of a KSG type shotgun....not sure if it is single tube or dual tube feed though ETA: nope it is a pump the other one I was thinking about was the "SRM Arms Model 1216" http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/mauser348/1216-structure-chart_zpsb7827b37.jpg but I like this saiga conversion http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/mauser348/saiga12bullpup_zps699c6d51.jpg and for some stupid reason wanted to post this http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/mauser348/slugpistol_zpsac78500d.jpg Saiga conversion? I got two of the utas-15s into my shop from the first production run. We had #99 and #115. Was not satisfied with them at all. The plastic frame was flimsy, some of the internals were plastic and didnt function well. We sent number 99 back and the other one was sold to a customer who had to mail it back for double feed issues. They fixed it but its still not very good. In my opinion the ksg is way better.
To be fair to utas, after they fixed it it functioned ok. But it just didnt seem as good durability and quality wise aS the ksg. |

I actually wish there was an American made saiga 12.... and that an ammo maker would put out a 12 gauge round in a rimless configuration for double stack mags... this the next big advance in shotguns and it would not be that hard in my opinion to tool up for the ammo... but it would be expensive...

The UTS always seems to pop up when I'm searching for the KSG on Gunbroker... I had to filter it out of the search. Agreed it looks awkward, cumbersome and Starship Trooper-esque. Function wise... the videos I've watched it doesn't look any less awkward than the KSG. I've seen a few videos of the KSG and it seems like they always short stroke the KSG, usually when using a VFG. I'm by no means a shot gun expert... but this wouldn't be anywhere on my wishlist. |
