I saw the artical on a Chinese News Paper.
Front Page
It probably happened while the 767 was been converted to a VIP transport for the Chi Com president in TX. The bug was found in various places.... including the headboard of the "presedential bed"  CIA is going to miss some  very intresting conversation...

I didn't follow the news during the weekend.
was the same story reported here?

In the BBC News they said they found over 20 bugs and that the Chinese are still looking.

Caught In the At least it's comforting to know they're trying right ? [BD]

I can just picture some retired instructor jumping up and down in front of his television shouting "that's how I showed you NOT to do it!"

Great if it is true.  Finally some payback for all of the spies and secret agents they have been sending to us all these years.

You guys are missing the real humor in this.  Turns out that the 767 was under Chinese military guard in TX the entire time it was there for conversion.

A report I saw today said that over 20 members of the Chinese Air Force were under arrest in this matter and that the Chinese government was trying to suppress reports and discussion of the issue.

Ahhhh, true socialism at work.  It appears that some of the inscrutable Chinese leader's military comrades were trying to get the goods on him.

Do you think those guys get The Sopranos there?

My max bet is $20.00.

I'd bet every nickel they haven't and won't find all the bugs.
(As pointed out above there's Chinese bugs, I'm betting American bugs and probably some inter-coastal as well as international bugs.  Maybe some few alien bugs.  You heard it here first but there may be Mark 1 Mod 0 self-cloning bugs.)
Trust me on this - that phuking plane is full of
bugs !)

5subslr5:

These are very nice bugs.  Reportedly satellite freqs which record and periodically dump/upload memory on demand.

Probably bought them from the Japanese.

Exactly what we have the NSA, and CIA for [:D]

If they found 27, you know that there are at least that many they missed.

And we blew it! It's the Moscow embassy all over again :(

A knee-jerk reaction. They've arrested loyal communists before that were innocent of what they were charged with (not much else!). The former Soviet Union and the PRC have a long history of doing that. It was more likely us.
