Anybody heard an actual arrival date of the outback diesel ? Price? and will it use that stupid Urea stuff or use the honda style catalytic converter and get around the requirement?
I am looking forward to a new car and that just might be it... |

Volkswagon has diesels here for years, wonder why we can't get any other brands? IIRC, Mercedes has an E Class diesel, along with others. My understanding of MB diesels of this age are that they need to a tank of urea to scrub the exhaust. Maybe the other makes don't want to jump through the EPA hoops? |

I love our 02 TDI and always kick myself for thinking of selling it when someone asks if it's for sale.Quoted: Volkswagon has diesels here for years, wonder why we can't get any other brands? Mercedes, and by extension, Jeep, had several models of diesels, but new emission regs caused them to rethink the market. |
