Why does it cost 62 cents to ship a square envelope when it only costs 42 cents to ship a normal business envelope ?

Maybe the machinery is set up for the normal size envelope and the square one has to be handled more.  Just a guess as I have no idea how they do things at the Post Office.

Here is your answer!  With a square envelope, the machine has a much more difficult time keeping the up side up.
