can you pick up your regular mail early?  I have a late starting case today, and I'd REALLLY like to ge tmy mail today, can I go when the post office opens and grab it? Never tried it...dont want to waste the trip if the answer is no

It would be up to the particular post office, but most likely would do that for you. Problem is that your mail may not be cased depending on what time you get there. Do you have a box on a route or a PO box?

Unfortunately not, just a plain old address in a neighborhood.......it usually gets delivered at 1300, if I go at 1000 i might get lucky?

Ideally, you need to be at the PO just as your carrier is finishing and before he pulls down. I  am sure by 10am, he would be gone. However, it's Monday so it's a late day for him. I would try about 830-9am and ask if he's finished. Also, he may take his DPS to the street, so what you get may not include everything, only manual letters and flats. It would not be nice to ask him to search through DSP. Especially on a Monday.

Sounds like a good reason to switch to a PO box.  Mine is usually stuffed by 0600.
