[url]http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/local/2_13_02gun_haus.html[/url] Yet another JBT mission here in AZ !! I have met this fellow several times at local funshows and he is getting SCREWED !! He has alot of WW1 and WW2 stuff and memorabelia. It was first reported a couple days ago as a HUGE ARSENAL with booby traps and GUNS and AMMO [:o] WTF !!! why are they "cataloging" his weapons and why cut a damn hole in his roof to boot !!! |

150 guns obviously makes him a danger to society. I don't know about you guys, but I can only handle about 27 guns simultaniously, this guy must be a psychopath... right... I love how they print third hand information on him to make him look bad too... Bobbie Wille said the man had a small tiff with a neighbor years ago after talking about his guns. "She didn't want to hear it anymore," Bobbie Wille said. "She told him that. That upset him. He said, 'You all better watch it or I'll come mow you all down.' " That's when they gave him the nickname "Machine Gun Kelly." View Quote The guy is going to have another stroke when he finds all his guns are removed and there is a hole in his roof... |
|
I'm sure they'll buy him a brand new roof, if he ever gets out of the hostpital.
|
|
Great, a gun owner has a stroke, and the ATF and local law enforement rob him. Gee, I wonder why he had a pepper spray boobie trap?? Maybe to deter thieves??
And I wonder who is gonna get stuck paying for the hole oin his roof?? I wonder it they will even cover it? Doubtful. Friggin' assholes. [smoke] |

"Fourteen families evacuated from the neighborhood last night have been told they will not be able to return to their homes at least until 6 p.m. today and perhaps not until tomorrow."
Barney Fifes Blowin it all outta Proportion! |

OMG...the cut a hole in his roof! Nothing Illegal found!....someone is going to have some more money for more firarms collecting (if he makes it out of the hospital)

Where do those freakin paramedic's get off calling the authorities just because this guy has guns & ammo in his house??? [:(!] Do they have the right to assume that they are illegal??? [:(!] Shouldn't they be focusing on their own job instead of sticking their freakin noses where they don't belong??? [:(!]
Damn those rat bastards really piss me the fu*k off!!! [:(!][:(!][:(!] ColtShorty GOA KABA COA JPFO SAF NRA "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them." |

hate to say it but, if I did not know firearms and walked into a home and saw over one hundred "GUNS" and other things,, I might be inclinded to at least leave it up to the Police. Also was anyone in the home to "safe guard said weapons?

Also I believe it is still legal to leave your house without posting a sentry to "safe guard said weapons." |
|
Poor bastard. Now if he recovers, and goes postal, they will say, "See, he WAS a danger all along"
I really feel for this guy, but we should be feeling sorry for ourselves. He lived a long life in a free nation and will probably not live to see real tyranny as we will. The pitiful part is, so few people even care. |
|
Better take his car, because it may have been used as a get-away vehicle for a bank robbery or a drive by shooting!
Better check the garage, he may have tools that could be used to break into houses or commit other crimes! While you're there, check for fertilizer, kerosene, and pipe to make bombs! The garden, heater, and plumbing problems are just a cover for his terrorist activities! Get those porno videotapes too, one of those girls may only be 17! Take all the financial records, who knows what income he didn't report to the IRS! Hey, a TV like that one was stolen last year, better check it out! |
|
Alright now this really pisses me off! At the beginning of the story they say that nothing illegal was found, so why the hell are they taking the guns and ammo out of the house? And what ever made them think that they could cut a hole in the guys roof to do it! Shall we all call the police station and ask for the investigator in charge? I will look for a number tomorrow.
|
|
I'm pissed too. Why remove the guns? Why cut a hole in the roof? Must have too many FAT ATF people walking around in the house "crammed with personal belongings." Why not just get a steamroller and flatten the house, much safer that way. [rolleyes]
C&R License because they say a collector license. So most of those are probably mausers, enfields, M91/30's etc. It also appears that he doesn't have a safe or vault room. They were probably laying around and on walls. They might be removing them because they would be safe from thieves with the owner out of the house. I assume they had people evacuate because they cant tell if the mortar rounds were live or not. I hope he gets better and demands reparations. Maybe even an apology from that newspaper for defamation of his character. |

I'll through two cents in here even though it may upset some people.
Several years ago we had a guy in our city die of a heart attack in his home. EMS called us, because of the number of weapons and ordnance in the house. His family had moved about 2 hours away and would take a while to contact and notify. Now, this being a small town with no secrets and a few theives, my officers collected all the weapons and valuables and secured them for the family. One of my younger guys returning with the guys stuff walks in to my office and Says " Chief, what should I do with this? " given that I was in the middle of working on a federal grant and didn't look up immediately I thought " Why are you bothering me with this?" and told him to put whatever it was in property until the family arrived to retrieve the items. He then pointed out that it was a live pineapple style hand grenade. A few hours later the Army arrived to detonate it at the local stone quarry. Prior to that the army checked the markings and lot number as they wanted to know where it came from. I would venture that alot of folks have no idea what truly dangerous stuff some people are hoarding. That being within some peoples personal knowledge might tend to get them to err on the side of caution. |

I'm afraid that it's only going to get worse. Just wait and see what happens when the assault weapons ban hits the press again. I can see the headlines now "Evil Rebuplicans Want To See Your Kids Dead As They Oppose Sen. Schumer's New COMPREHENSIVE Assault Weapon Ban".
Women's groups, teacher's unions, PC city police politicians will all be whining about "the children" and "public safety" while not a single politician will have the guts to stand in the way of that evil collectivist model. G.W. will cave in order to be viewed as sensitive and moderate by the majority of the mush-heads out there and presto-bango we'll end up with an even crazier BAN. All the while the idiots in the press will crank up the rhetoric about arsenals, gun show loop-holes, machine guns etc. It's coming! The anti's are already telling the press that any attempt to oppose gun control only makes us more vulnerable to terrorism.[puke] |
|
Where's Sukebe and his pals with the "You weren't there, don't understand... etc..etc...etc...cops don't make mistakes, only cake-eating civilians do..etc."?
[rolleyes] |

Where are the apologists now?
They sure faded into the woodwork a couple of months ago. |

i live near Tucson (abt. 25 miles from this mans home)& i have been following this story since it broke on Mon. morning.., i get so disgusted at the medias hype in this it makes me SICK !!
they talk about "BOOBY TRAPS" but fail to mention that most gun owners/collectors do NOT set "booby traps", we set "detecting" devices, i have a hidden camera & some "other" devices that tell me if my security has been violated in some way when i am away...... this is a joke, but also a thot !! i have thot about wiring myself wyth a heart rate monitor, if it does not detect a heart beat in a 5 minute span the whole fuggin mess blows sky high !!!!!!!!! |

Everyone should understand the gravity of this situation. This occurred in Arizona ... supposedly a gun friendly state.
This could be any one of the members of this board. While each of us may not have a collection that large, the sheeple see more than a shotgun and a couple of rounds of old birdshot as a threat. The average joe doesn't understand a gun collection is just like a collection of Classic Cars or Extremely Rare Coins - if I took my collection, sold every piece and filed for a C&R (don't know if there are any quantity/time restrictions) I could easily purchase 100 firearms. The gentleman in question appears to have no criminal record. They have no right to declare a collection of historically significant firearms an ARSENAL. They have no right to spread the "I'll mow you all down" rumor - completely heresay reported out of obvious spite. They have no right to enter this man's home - the parametics obviously overreacted. No doubt they reported this to the police and BATF as bomb's and automatic weapons. This whole situation exasperates me. Ryan |
|
It's just the media's way of demonizing gun collectors (period).
Oh my gawd!!![shock] He had guns and ammo in his house!!![shock] Ergo, he must be a very very bad man!!![>:/] All they lacked was that smiling sack of Scheisse Charles Schumer pleading "Why would anyone want more than one gun?" |
|
when i was going through paramedic training we made a BIG deal about patient confidintiality. When we went in without police what we saw there other than protecting our patient was none of our business.
I guess ethics and ems have left as they have become to intertwined with the LEO/Rescue systems. Seems like now you can't take a shit without having to report to the leo's. |
|
In a nut shell:
An old, C&R collector decided to use guns and ammo as his wallhangers, and then he needed the EMS one day and the police got penis envy so they decide to confiscate all his toys. Damn that sucks. Kharn |

I can't say what I think of this in a public forum.
Cactus Jack, since you live fairly close and probably have access to local papers can you find out who this poor guy is and how we can send mail to him? It sounds like one of our "brothers" could use some help. It is a situation like this where we can step up, be recognized and really make a difference. If you can get an address for me I would like to send him a check and let him know that he isn't alone out there. Maybe some of you can spare a "couple of bucks" to send to him instead of buying that extra mag etc. He sounds like he could use some finincial help as well as something to boost his spirits during this ordeal. Let's show him that someone really cares and that we as a group are trying to right the wrongs that are being perpetrated against us. |
|
Slowly, ever so slowly. House-by-house. Person-by-person. Incremental gun confiscation. |
|
My guess is there might be some unwritten rule that if a public worker comes across Guns whether it be one or many, they are to report it. If the person happens to unconscious those weapons are reqired to be secured and if no one is there I imagine they will confiscate the guns like they did Mr. Eroh's.
Now that the so called authorities have the weapons Mr. Eroh will more than likely have to go to court to get them back and none of his family will get them if he passes away. This is just an easy way for the Non-Gun society to get weapons off the street. Happens every day. |

I live about 7 or 8 miles from his house and lets just say, this is a "questionable" neighborhood. They are reporting that the "booby traps" were trip wires that would set off mace. NO !!! NOT MACE !!!!! Arizona is a gun friendly state, but Tucson is one of the more liberal areas, a college/artsy-fartsy town with a huge influx of old retired jerks and transplants from other liberal areas.
Bottom line is the tucson police have been known to do such things and is usually involved in some kind of screw up scandal at any given time. We have a great local gun owners group [url]www.brassroots.org[/url] and hopefully they and others can keep the light shining on this bullshit. With every passing day more facts come out that he did nothing wrong and how the local JBT's overreacted. SPECTRE |

I was a firefighter/paramedic for 13 yrs. before disability retirement in No. Minn., a gun friendly area. Was in many a home where firearms were visible and many times the patient was the only one home. We would secure the home (if neccessary)by either family, good neighbor or LEO if one was there. Never had a problem with this, as you learn to READ people on this job. Plus we knew most of the LEO and they were cool with this. Like the other Paramedic said, confidentiality was a big thing, especially with me,being as I was the department GUN NUT. Whether the incident in ARIZ. was to secure the firearms or not, the damage to the house was un-called for. The only time we reported anything was if we SAW drug parafonalia or domestic/child abuse, we were required to by law. I feel for this guy, and the paramedics that were on the scene better understand there basic privacy and ethic laws.

As of this morning the local radio "news" was reporting the evacuation of the neighboring houses was due to the fact that the resident had over 130 lbs. of gunpowder stored. They were "checking into" whether or not that violated a law. No mention of artillery shells or mortar shells, but the "booby-trap" s%&t was mentioned - implying DEADLY - which is why the Fire Department went in via the roof.
Meet the new paranoid society. |
