Any experience with either set of videos? I'm most interested in the Defensive Shotgun, Tactical Carbine and Tactical Pistol. Production quality? Amount and "substance" of material covered? Would prefer LEAST elementary set available.

Thanks,

Fred

Fred,

I just bought videos from Gunsite and Thunder Ranch for department training on using the patrol rifle. I have the Tactical Carbine I and the Urban Rifle. Both are good, but I perfer the Gunsite video (tactical carbine) because it's simple to understand and gives good info for patrol use. The Urban Rifle was more of a lecture from Clint Smith on his theories on why to use the rifle. I think if you are a firearm's instructor like myself the tactical carbine is a better training video. Production quality is also better on the tactical carbine. Don't know about the pistol or shotgun videos but I wouldn't hesitate buy buy either from Gunsite. Hope this helps you out.

Same here. The Gunsite Tactical Carbine tape is way superior to Thunder Ranches. Too much talk and philosphy in TR tape, GS get's down with the basics in a very clear, coherent manner.
