I have a 2011 Ram 3500 SRW.

I also have a 2007 28' camper, bumper pull, 7,500lbs gvwr.

Would you use a weight distribution hitch with this setup?

The camper is the MIL's and she insists it MUST BE DONE.  Granted, she drags the fucking thing around with a Toyota, so I can understand why she thinks it MUST BE DONE.  Buuuuuuuttttt, my one ton doesn't even get smashed down enough to sit level.

Thoughts?

I have a '09 2500 RAM. You will barely notice it is back there even without a weight distributing hitch. I pulled an almost 9k 35' camper for my FIL a few months back. Hitch would have helped a little, but for the most part it was just a big parachute back there. Truck didnt care about the weight, and you have two mor tires than me to distribute the load. Use it if you want, but it aint necessary. Cummins aint got time fo' dat...

This, and any opportunity to move weight towards the axles is a good thing, even with your truck.

I'd hazard the standard 10% of gross.  Haven't measured it.

I'd tow it w/o a WD hitch but if a WD hitch is available I'd use to make MIL happy
