Simple miscommunication. I had my 9mm AR, XD-40, and Sig 220 45. I had ammo for all three out. I told my friend (gun owner and perfectly competent) to shoot the Sig. He said he asked if it was 40 cal and pointed at the Sig. I thought he said, or all I heard was “is this the Sig”. So I said yes. Then went to the next lane over to shoot my other friends’ Beretta 92. My friend shot and then said MIKE!! and showed me this shell casing. He had fired a 40S&W in my 45ACP Sig. Both our faults. Just a miscommunication. It fired. No damage to the gun. But it failed to cycle. I guess we finally found a way to make my Sig jam.  I love my Sig. Not a mark on it, and it damn near cycled.
