So they found an AK mag and arrested some buddy of his and charged his girlfriend but did not take her into custody because they have a baby. So search the house of anyone you visit immediately upon entering in case they have something illegal in a linen closet

Huh? How can they get away with 3 charges for possession of the same item? I'm guessing all 3 resided/were on the lease, is that a standard practice?
ETA - Or is that how they attempt to get someone to admit to possession of something, charge everyone to attempt to guilt the owner into admission? |

If they're dividing the charges three-ways they should split the mag capacity three ways, to.
If it's a 30-rnd mag, then each is only responsible for 10 rounds and hence innocent of any charge! |
|
It should be noted that the magazine/drugs were found after a "probation department search of 125 Stinard St., said Sgt. Tom Connellan."
ETA: also from the story; "People on probation are subject to periodic search. It was during one of those searches the high-capacity magazine was found." |

Somebody there was on probation. You are subject to search while on probation, and they had weed. Play stupid games................

Does anybody up there really believe their local law enforcement won't just feed them into the state woodchipper if they give them half a reason? |

I thought cops didn't support this law and wouldn't enforce it.

That is very messed up.
I hope the defense can establish some beneficial precedence. Three on a hook, that is just wrong. |

CT has a statute like that in regards to machine guns that are (illegally) possessed for an "offensive purpose" 53-202 (e) The presence of a machine gun in any room, boat or vehicle shall be presumptive evidence of the possession or use of the machine gun by each person occupying such room, boat or vehicle. Followed by (h) No provision of this section shall apply to: (3) a machine gun acquired, transferred or possessed in accordance with the National Firearms Act, as amended... |

And they'll get there because eventually they will get 2 of 3 to agree that number 3 is the guy they want.

Still waiting on my sheriff to come arrest me, They know what I have.

Yeah but the police won't enforce unconstitutional laws so this really didn't happen.

They where doing a random inspection because they have been arrested before.
On top of the they had drugs with a hi cap. People on probation are subject to periodic search. It was during one of those searches the high-capacity magazine was found. The law prohibits magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. View Quote |

...and weed.
Talk about the government going out of their way to create criminals out of thin air. |

These hoodlums needed to be pulled from the streets, all three of them were a criminal time bomb just ticking away.

Any chance you can explain why the federal government needed a constitutional amendment to ban alcohol but they didn't need one to ban a plant? |

What's the likelihood they were initially dinged for the weed, acted like asshats, and one of the cops said "fine, fuck you" and dinged them for the mag too?
