compared to the sight picture of an old Eotech? It's the 445 buck model and I want to put in on a different gun and move the Eotech to a cheap plinker AR. Old eyes and I don't like any type of scopes. I want to look thought the site in you know what I mean.

Didn't check if it cowitesses or not but usually you can see through a old school front site.

I had a few sig red dots in my shopping cart but opted to only go aimpoint from here on out.
its water proof to 150m. the sigs are 1m or some such nonsense. they are built like tanks and will last into your grandkids generation. they are also not made in jina. |

There was one in the EE earlier today for $365.
I'm not finding it for ya. |
Okay, I'll buy it. I'm already dipping into my father's day presents for 2022.
I have one. I love it. Dead on every time. Nice adjustable dot for different variations of sunlight. I've not had a battery die, but I change it yearly.
It's a little heavy compared to the new stuff. It's built like a tank. |
I have one and it works great but the dot looks like a comet with my astigmatism. I had more luck with the reflex sight like eotech, been using a exps 2-0/3-0 with great success but doesnt have the leave it on for years ability like aimpoint.
I've had a PRO for several years on an SBR, it's a solid red dot sight that doesn't break the bank. Battery is oddball but they last a long time and just order more from Amazon.
Looks like Aim Surplus sold out of the ones they had on sale for 399. |
I have a T2 on a pistol build. The Pro is what I'm getting next. Plus I have a EXPS3-0 lol
I just bought a refurb for $350. I also own two others and a COMP ML2 and they work well. The two PROs I've had for about 6-8 years and they have worked without issue. I have also purchased some Aimpoint 5000's and they still work great also. Aimpoint optics are rugged and work well for many years.

I have an M2, an M3, 2 PRO'S and a ACO. My favorite optic design. Easy to roll the reostat with my left hand for brightness, large FOV, and amazing battery life. I do have a slight astigmatism and to me, the longer distance between the dot emitter to front lens of the M series gives me a crisper dot than a T1 or T2. The T series looks like a comet to me. I attribute that to the extreme angle of the front lens to emitter angle. |
Kinda feel like it's reputation speaks for itself.... After 20 years of solid reliabile service...
They are great and highly recommend. I've only changed the battery twice in 7 years just because I could. It was still on after 3-4 years of constantly going and not considered dim.
Buy with confidence. |
I love mine. No issues other than the weight of the tube with the OEM mount. I have it on a 1/3 cowitness with a matech and an A2 FSB. Cowitnesses fine.

Gotta buy the riser separately but with the riser it’s perfect. I also own two Aimpoint Pros. I look through the tube of the Aimpoint Pro. I look through the 510C. |
I have 2 Pros.
One on a AR pistol and another on a AK47. They have been both been great. They are not perfect dots anymore due to my Anstagatism not Aimpoints fault. Batteries last forever. Great optic. Edit..... Have a Holosun 510 in green, circle dot works better for my Anstagatism. I find it faster than just a dot. |
Basic bullet proof RDS. Plenty of intensity setting for daylight nuclear bright. Battery life is yuge.
Only weak spot is the on/off knob. Smack it good enough it WILL break off. Had it happen to me and Ive seen service rifles with aimpoints missing the knob. If you have astigmatism it'll suck like every other RDS. |
Yep same as the others. It's a great red dot from a long established well respected company. It is also big and heavier than many others. I have double astigmatisms and I prefer the dot that's in my leupold vx-r patrol 1.25-4 lpvo, but I still use the pro on one of my sbr. Everytime I think of selling it I say I'll sleep on it and a few more weeks will go by before I think about selling it again. Rinse and repeat. Long story short is that I haven't sold it.

Thanks guys. When I joined the site I tried to keep up with all the stuff. This is my first purchase of anything gun related in some time and I don't know squat about all this new stuff. I'll have it soon and looking forward to look forward through a new site.

Good value. Weird battery. Heavy. Bomb proof, but I'd avoid a ring mount for impact zero shift risks.
It's no micro but GTG |

Ok I'll be "that guy"
I didn't like the blue tint the lenses have. It's not as bad as some other sights but it's there. |

Excellent optic. Standard mount is absolute co-witness and works pretty well, just don't strip the stupid allen screws (). It is huge and heavy though [the mount], so an upgrade to a Larue mount is not a bad idea.
The Sig Romeo 07 is also a really good option if you are short on funds. The glass is average, but it's durable, and I like the fact that it takes AA batteries. |

View Quote @brandon_ The blue tint is there for a reason it is the reason you get the exception battery life out of the optic. Yes the tint can be reduced but then you drive the cost of the optic way up because of how complicated it is to produce the glass. Without the blue tint you would have an EOTech and shit battery life that cannot be measured in years of life. In the long run the little bit of blue saves you a ton of green on batteries. @OP I have been running a PRO for years now it is amazing optic for the price. I have mine in a LaRue QD mount so I can store a spare battery in it and swap it around to different rifles. |

The one day I don't check the samplelist, one went for $389..

Old. Outdated. Heavy. Needlessly huge. Awesome, and will survive a tank running it over as the tank explodes.
Great optic, I wish the mount was smaller/lighter though.
Not that it’s heavy, it’s just heavier than it has to be. |
OP, your mentioning old eyes may bring up a concern.
What do you plan to use it for? |
Nothing at all wrong with the COMP M2 aimpoint... which is what the "pro" is.
They rebranded it for marketing. (And maybe because it was heavily counterfeited) It's good to go. |
Own/owned several T2's and a Comp M5. Next purchase will probably be a PRO. I think they look cool.

The least expensive red dot I'd trust for primary usage on a duty or home defense rifle. |
