So I have an interview tomorrow at 9am in Houston, so I'm at the Burbank CA airport waiting for my flight to Dallas (with a connecting flight to Houston). The flight is delayed an hour, but we finally board and everything looks cool. The pilot gets on the horn and says that due to heavy rain in Dallas we have to wait 45 minutes more. OK, no problem. 45 minutes later he says that we have to wait another hour. An hour later my man then says that the flight was cancelled as the airport was too busy handling all the traffic due to the rain delay. At this point I'm fucked, as I know I can't make my interview. I now have a flight tomorrow leaving LAX at 6am, arriving in Houston at 3:15pm. I've left a voicemail for the HR Manager, and sent emails to everyone I was supposed to meet, telling them of my misfortune. I hope to reschedule it for later on Thursday or Friday. I was hoping this was my ticket to getting out of California, and I hope I haven't screwed it up. I have an interview with a bigger firm in Houston on Friday morning, so let's hope at least one of the two pans out. --Don |
