My neighbor does Crossfit and she hurt her back.
|
|
It's an open and shut case!!!!
ETA- one time before I started working out I tweaked my neck really bad....I reached up to adjust the curtain and the result was not being able to move my neck for 2 days |
|
|
Well I'm convinced.
I was all set to drop $165/month with a 1 year commitment until I heard about your neighbor. |
|
Thats all the evidence i needed. Can i share on social media?

Crossfit produces some interesting injuries around here. Not just normal sports injuries, but also fun stuff like concussions, broken bones, and lacerations from spectacularly failed attempts.

Lol. My orthopedic surgeon friend says crossfit is the best thing that has happened to him. No, he doesn't do it but spend much of his time fixing people who have injured themselves doing that shit.
|
|
I'm not a huge fan of crossfit myself, and the idea of exercise in and of itself as a "sport" is ludicrous. The principles are good but in practice with a group of minimally experienced lifters all trying to get their best time form quickly degrades and injuries happen.
Still,... they are out there doing something to stay fit. Which is more than most people can say. |

My cousin and I met a cross fit instructor at CWW. We had talked to him a few times already and on the second day he finally brought up that he was an instructor. My cousin replies with "Wow that must have been really hard to not tell us that for a whole day"
It was funny but he was a good dude, he took it well. |

An orthopedist friend of mine is 50% owner of a crossfit gym around here. He doesn't do crossfit.
Read into that what you may. Though appealing Crossfit INC just lost its first case found 25% liable for a back injury. |

It goes on and on about the injuries....then at the very end it says "but it's the same rate as everything else except contact sports" ETA- Google "crossfit injury rates study" and see for yourself. It's not a very good study, but it's all there is. |

If I did, I should be seeing a fat check coming my way. Any day now.... It's not my fault you didn't #trademark it. I'm still holding out hope. To be honest, I started CF when it was pretty new still. It got me in the best shape of my life- injury free. I was squatting 400+ pounds and running a 19:15 3 mile. I could do 3 deadhang pullups with 120# tied to my waist. It also introduced me to olympic weightliting which has been my sport now for a few years. So, while CF isn't perfect and HQ sucks balls, a lot of the criticism is unwarranted and I personally owe a lot to CF for getting me started, as do a lot of other people. |

View Quote A majority of crossfitters are not athletes, yet they partake in movements and routines that even the most conditioned would avoid. Largely a joke except for the few specimens. Its a class for people that lack physical routine and drive yet still want to be a part of a fit group. |

Lol.
After playing football for 15 years. Boxing for 4 and doing MMA for 4 as well, the worse injury I ever had was doing Crossfit. We were about to do some Olympic Lifts (Snatch), after a little stretching, I put 95lbs on the bar to warm up. On my second warm up set I blew my back out, 3 disc. Embarrassing since I was Snatching 255 at the time. If it wasnt for warming for Crossfit/Olympic Lift, Id have a good back, damn you CF, you're the devil. |
