Just wrapping up a trip to DEFCON here in Las Vegas tonight when I get an angry cop knock on my door. I was asleep at the time and clad exclusively in my boxer briefs. I was told to exit my room, into the hallway, with my hands visible and raised in nothing but my very tight underwear. They searched my room, found nothing, were thoroughly encouraged to both fornicate with themselves AND ingest a satchel of phalluses, and left.
BE AWARE! These practices are out there and Caeasar's evidently embraces them! WARNING: For those of you with tender ears, I used a lot of bad words. Come to find out, Wingnut's a real potty mouth when you wake him up after 11pm and surround him with armed goons. Room raided @ParisLasVegas for no reason whatsoever @DEFCON Room raided @ParisLasVegas for no reason whatsoever after DEFCON. I'm a bit lost, did you tell him you had a gun?
Edit: Watched a bit more. I see now what is meant by "had". Ooof... Looks like you got some free nights coming to you. |

Politicians, Corporations and Law Enforcement are coalescing into a monolithic entity purely out for the interests of the state, state power and retention of state power in the hands of the few; with the oppression of the masses as their primary tool.

That sucks, we don’t have those problems here in TX.
I go to Vegas pretty often, I have carried my LCP II there with no issues. Up in OK I’ve been known to carry a G19 to the casinos there. Either way it’s unacceptable for you to be intimidated like that |
Remember kids, you don't need PC or a warrant if you have the hotel staff toss the room for you.
Are guns illegal in Nevada?
What's wrong with having a gun in your hotel room? Legally, it's an extension of your house IIRC. |

I guess it should be SOP now to pack normal things in some Pelican cases just to waste these fools time.
You should have showed them the closet and pointed to the machine gun coat hangers.
Those aren’t cops. They’re security LARPing as SWAT. Still bullshit, landlords or hotels have zero right to search your room.
Not surprising though, this is right in line with the James Reeves video where a Vegas hotel searched his bag after he checked it at the front desk and found his gun. |
Were you drunk OP? Because it came across that way. Might have just been the fog of being woken up late at night.
Bullshit policy for sure. Honest opinion though: both sides could have handled that better. |

“Ceasars Enterprises Special Response Team” is what I read on their patches. I didn’t realize they had that kind of security.
Why did they choose your room ?
Do you have a recording of the conversation where staff say you have a gun. Why did that conversation even mention guns ? I have checked into Vegas every year during Shot Show and other times and the word "gun" has never come up in conversation. |
I'm confused. How did they get in your room without a warrant? Your "abode" includes a paid for hotel room and you enjoy 4th Amendment rights there.
There are actually a few confusing things about this video. |
That check better have a bunch of zeroes to make you stop talking about it.
WTF. I used to bring toys to do the DEFCON shoot. Times have changed.

So you were in a hotel that doesn't allow guns?
At the very least I would cease doing business with them. I'm sure we have some "legal types" that my have other suggestions. |
See what happens when you invite the man into your life.
Never open the door. |
What a shit show. I don't blame you for your irritation. Granted it is their policy and I guess they can do that but damn. All that over an anonymous tip?
ETA: That wasn't LE? What the hell? I get having some sort of armed security but running around like they're about to no knock a house is a bit much. |
Good job OP on telling them to fuck themselves and eat bags of dicks.
Even if they are larping as police they are turning the people who would support them against them. |
When he says he's not going to eat a dick, I don't believe him.

Definitely in on page one of many.
Also, "EAT A DICK!" will be my response when confronted by square badge security going forward. |

View Quote Wouldn’t surprise me, if OP had a badge of some sort for the convention he was attending and some employee saw it and reported OP. Seriously the strip is like a mini-California, the casinos police themselves and often fail. |

Hmm. I'll never stay at that property.
Persec.....somebody violated it? |
