I have a Honeywell adjustable thermostat...installed over a year ago.
I have noticed lately that the the house cools but the temp on the thermostat stays at 80 degrees or clinmbs...this of course makes the ac system keep running. Honeywell mentions this on their website... "If the displayed temperature climbs when the cooling system is running, but the house is becoming cooler, excessive current may be causing the inside of the thermostat to heat up. Have your system checked by a local contractor." Anybody have any ideas how to do something about "excessive current"? Please advise |
