All you need is a little more pursuasion on the end of that club, and some armor plating on the back of the shield, and you would be all set.
I will still opt for a firearm, but that table gets some serious style points. |

I checked the site but they didn't list a price. Not a bad idea if you're only worry was a knife attack.
I used to keep an aluminum t-ball bat in the closet next to the door. It was too light so I filled it with water. It's compact, unbreakable and could really ruin your day. |

I bet some liberal made that silly thing. Looks like two drawer pulls on the underside of the "shield" which look like they would break off rather easily, especially if that is particleboard and laminate like I think it is.
