I don't want. The woman I want, I can't get. Woe is me. Its way to complicated to go any further.

I can relate...I filed in March...still no settlement. I'm not in a big hurry for a new gal these days though...I just want to get shed of the one I have. She "found" gambling. Needless to say...$50,000.00+ later (that was just what went into one casino) I'm ready to set up in a nice small little home...set up my reloading bench...flip on some tunes and think happy thoughts. 19 years. Ouch!

Rainman, If you do not want the woman you are with, end it. You are not doing yourself or her any favors by staying together. Better to be alone and content than with someone and miserable. In addition, who knows what might happen with another woman in the future? Resolve your present situation in anticipation of future opportunities. [:D]

I wouldn't trade mine in for anything....even a new gun!
Link Posted: 8/20/2001 7:16:25 PM EDT
Tell you what. I understand what you are saying there rainman. I have been married twice. First time ten years to a psycho-bitch-from-hell. Great sex though. Anyhow, my wife now and I have all our problems centered around her spoiled-rotten-brat-of-a-kid-does-no-wrong-God's-gift-to-the-world-her-only-real-love-in-life...................you get the picture. We fight about him all the time and I am sick of it. Almost got divorced about i month ago. I even looked for a place to live about 45 miles up the road and moved our for a few days. The prospect of starting over again seemed kinda appealing in a way but we worked things out. Basically, I don't upset her "sensitive son" and we'll get along just fine. Live and learn. BTW, while divorced I "spent some time with" a gorgeous little blond that looked like she outta be on Baywatch (no kiddin) and still wish I coulda had her for keeps. Bed, I mean bad...bad mojo though. All women are absolute frickin psychos though. Sorry ladies....................still true though.

I will make an immediate exception for Miss Magnum though. After seeing her with a few weapons I am willing to accept the fact that there may be just one............just one left mind you that is normal. Heres to ya Miss M.

Men don't understand us? I'll agree with that.. always said we confuse ourselves at times. But as for all women being psychos... I'd have to amend that to say all the women YOU'VE been with have been psychos. Know what else they have in common? YOU. People (men and women) are subconciously attracted to certain "types." Usually it's rehashing issues from childhood or just replaying an established pattern. The trick is if you notice an unhealthy pattern, figure out what it is, why it exists and don't do it anymore. It irks me to hear people play that "poor me" victim mentality in their relationships when everyone has a choice as to who they are going to be with.

MM, I let myself get into the present situation during a weak moment and let it continue when I shouldn't have. It would "break her heart" to end it even tho I know I will do it someday. Damn, I hate this kind of crap.

Quote from an old guru: "My first wife was crazy, hell, they all are. You just find the level you can live with." on a side note: The feminazies are still fighting the battle of liberation. I just found out that my sister is one. It was a shock. Spent two days de-programming her, using logic. Doubt if I was successful. Can a sister be disowned?
Link Posted: 8/20/2001 7:28:34 PM EDT
Rainman, You're rationalizing. And I think you know it. Stop putting it off because it will "break her heart"... and you won't be getting any. [;)]
Link Posted: 8/20/2001 7:34:04 PM EDT
Sara, I was married for 16 years, I know what its like not to "get any" for a while. That is not the problem. The problem is she's probably perfect for me but she doesn't "melt my butter" or "float my boat" or however you want to say it. So I know the end, when it comes, will hurt.
Link Posted: 8/20/2001 7:36:44 PM EDT
I hear ya... really. But it's not going to get any easier and you've been lamenting over the situation for a while. Why are you putting it off? And not because "it will break her heart" because I know when a man wants out, he gets out regardless.
Link Posted: 8/20/2001 7:42:40 PM EDT
Naw............I still think pretty much all women are psychos and that it is true that you just find one that has a level of psychosis that you can deal with. My first wife was such a child that I swore I'd never repeat that error again. I searched long and hard to find someone who was everything she (the ex) was not. I did just that. What I did not factor in is the child thing. Some divorced women, it seems, have irrational feelings about what it means to raise a male child. Had I been on the inside looking out I'd have seen that my wifes hang-ups with her son stem from her own childhood and what I have defined as her totally disfunctional family (That should hit home with you Miss M if I recall your story about your ex-husbands family) Anyhow, being on the outside looking in things looked pretty warm and cozy and stable. Again, totally opposite what I'd been used to. So, while some women are psychos and while all my psycho women have had me in common, not all of my women have been psycho. Does that make sense? And, BTW, we all do have a choice but just having a choice does not necessarily dictate that said choice is going to provide you with an acceptable answer. Sometimes you be where you be.

Ah ha! You've been following along! ::grin:: That whole experience just taught me that there was a reason for long courtships and getting to know the family over a long period of time. I'm hoping one day to get married and have children but IT WILL NOT BE ANYTIME SOON... [:D]
Link Posted: 8/20/2001 7:59:48 PM EDT
Yeah..........I been paying attention here and there. Hate that that happend to you BTW. I hope you are able to get married and have kids someday. It'd be a shame for some lucky guy to miss out on a lday with so much to offer. I dunno Miss M. Marriage and divorce, her kids, my kids, our kids..........now whose kids are those kids? All very hard on the mind, body and spirit if you ask me. I do love my wife but her kid is next to impossible for me to deal with. One thing I will tell ya is watch your boyfriends relationship with his child if you get serious about someone with a kid. Don't just get all starry eyed about having a step-child. Look at disciplinary patterns and measures. Look for irrational behavior on the part of the parent and on un-realistic demands by the child which are always met by the parent. Determine whether or not the parent has any semblance of a life outside the child as the level to which the child has been spoiled will have a direct impact on your relationship. If the child gets everything it wants and if the child does nothing wrong in the eyes of the father and/or grandparents then run run run run woman run and don't even look back once or you will turn into something far worse than a pillar of salt. Anyone who is so unrealistic about their child will not be capable of being the husband/lover/friend you need and deserve as no equation will be complete in their eyes without the child as a constant.

15 years ago today I married the woman I felt I could spend the rest of my life with.. She puts up with my hobbies and quirks and has stuck by me through thick and thin.. So rest assured guys the one for you is out there if you look in the right places.. Mine was and still is a keeper.. Take care, Rick

I don't like the stereo-types like "all men are jerks" or "all women are idiots". Mainly because there are good and bad in any race, sex, or nationality, and it isn't fun to always be labeled as a male jerk just because the last guy was a schmoe. With that being said, a new relationship will always bring a new set of problems. You're already used to the problems and headaches of this one. I say if you are married, stay married. If you are just dating her, what are you waiting for? SPLIT!

Who sang that song "If you can't love the one you want, love the one your with..." ?? Be patient grasshopper... Women have amazing power when it comes to alluring.. You would be suprised: A) how easy it is to get over them B) how little you really cared about the one you are with ... one once you get some fresh split tail therapy.

Gee I guess my problem is fairly simple. The woman, I ain't got. So I can't even think about the woman I want. Or I could just skip the whole thing and think about the woman I can't get. Hey you wanna trade?

Many years ago, I screwed up the best opportunity I ever had. I saw it, knew it was good, and ran the other direction as fast as I could. I kick myself daily for messing it up. Currently, the woman I truly love hates me with a fire that could melt the north pole. Her flaws are numerous, but I want her anyway.

The woman I got I wanted. Sometimes though she doesn't want me. It seems when I look back.......in hindsight That the reasons are usually on me. I don't subscribe to this concept of a perfect mate for life. We are all human are we not? That being the case, it seems to me that you get what you give in most cases. Yeah, when my marriage is going crappy it is real easy for me to blame my wife. Many times though, it is my own mishandling of things that causes the problem. Heck, next week it could be her fault. Day by day, give and take. Frustration and lethargy are the enemies of happiness. Reality.

prebans: You want an advice about finding a woman. I'll give you one as a friend. Get the hell off this computer and go out to places where there are women... book store, supermarket, clubs, theater, night school, any place where there are people and try talking to some of them. You are not going to find a woman sitting in front of this computer and you sure as hell isn't going to learn to talk to a woman here. If you can't talk to them you sure as hell ain't going to get one. After you find one you like come back and I'll give you another advice on how to keep her. Oh, by-the-way, my comment above to anothergene was not sexual in any way. I only meant it as "running back to mommy" or "I want my mommy". If you thought my coment was sexual in any way I question your... never mind.
