Ok, I just watched the "very special" episode of "The West Wing". I can't remember a worse hour of my life in this country. The entire show consisted of simplistic, apparent, evident, ripped-off-from-the-media messages spoken to teen-age characters but intended for "the rest of us". Tolerance, Understanding, Insight, Humanity, who hasn't already considered these messages? Only the most in-bred, uneducated, shack-dwelling, barefoot, road-kill scavengers would be led to the light through this exercise of Aaron Sorkin's searing, all-clarifying intellect. In this time of tragedy and mourning, the last thing we need is a treacly lesson in civics from a drug addict whose insulation from prosecution is directly related to his ability to generate money for his masters at NBC. Where was Sorkin's respect for the law when he wrapped his magic mushrooms in a used cocaine baggie and headed for the airport? (Ok, the cocaine baggie bit was an embellishment, a "reimagining" if you will.) For this diarrheic waste of money the premier of the show was delayed? If I had wanted a lesson from a trite, overpaid, well-drugged writer with possible Communist sympathies, I'd read Martin Amis. (Ok, another "reimagining", and Mr. Amis is a fine Communist.) Instead of profiling our Arab-Americans, we should increase surveillance on Aaron Sorkin to make sure none of this crap leaves his hard drive. Against this shoddy hemorrhage of superficial, MTV-distilled tripe all Muslims should declare a jihad, all Christians a crusade, all Buddhists a...well, Buddhists stay where you are. 25+ years in this country and I have never come across a more egregious violation of my civil rights, specifically my right to entertaining television. God, I want to get out of this business. To paraphrase a classic film line, " I have given a name to my pain, and it is Aaron Sorkin." Thank you. It will take years of therapeutic fetish pornography to erase this horror from my mind. For those of you who didn't watch the show, consider yourselves fortunate to escape a disaster. Hug your children and tell them how much you love them. For those who have, please consider the following link a consolation. http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/wilderwein/bbab.swf

"The Left Wing" is more appropriate

Why watch anything any longer with Martin Sheen in it?

It's my understanding that they're currently working on an episode that parallels what happened at the WTC on 9-11-2001, with 'Prez Josh Dildo' handling the crisis from his office! We can then see how a 'real' president would have handled the tragedy, thanks to Mr. Sheen and his commie buddies. George W. please take notes so that you can do it better on a second take! I was flipping through the channels last night and saw it. It was the first time I had seen the show. It was remarkably lame. There are some good issues that could be explored, but Sorkin turned it into a standard lefty fantasy in which the cops always bust the wrong guy due to racial profiling and the befuddled masses get a good talking-to. Later on the white males admit their guilt and everyone is happy. Anyone catch the military guy coming into the camera view at the closing credits--the one and only appearance of a military person in the show--just as the Buffalo Springfield song started to play? There's somethin' happening here, What it is ain't exactly clear. There's a man with a gun over there, Tellin' me I gotta beware. I think it's time we stop, Hey, what's that sound, Everybody look what's going down.

What pukes these Sheens are; in other countries they would be shoveling sh*t from a yak and throwing it into their communal gardens; wow, groovy. What is this arrogance that some actors possess that make them act like such pompous asses?!? Is Martin Sheen truly that "enlightened"? And if so, why the prostitute-chasing-drunk of a son in his family; didn't all-knowing Daddy Sheen pass on his vast wisdom to his children? The whole Hollywood crowd makes me sick; if it were Hollywood that were attacked and THEY were personally affected, we would see these hypocrites screaming for others to get out there and fight for them. [soapbox]

yeah that episode was pretty lame I usually watch it, and laugh at the leftist crap. They did have an episode where the token republican made some very good points about the equal rights amendment being a redundant thing, and that democrats are always quick to make new laws instead of enforcing existing laws. don't know how that slipped into the script. common sense on the leftist propaganda show

I say we voat Martin Sheen out of office. Charlton Heston would make a much better president on the show. Like it or not the networks are controled by the liberal elete.

It's unfortunate that I have learned about the political affiliations that many Hollywood types espouse too. I can't wathch anything without seeing the liberal bent. They make me want to puke...... [puke]
