This year the UN is hosting a conference in Johnnesburg called the "World Summit for Sustainable development". One of the center peice proposals in they are pushing is a global carbon tax on any nations and individuals in those nations (guess who they're targeting) who use more then 'their share' of the world's pertroleum reserves. The time to get out of the UN is NOW. Write your reps to say no to global taxation, and to support the ban on global tax proposed in the senate.

Just another shakedown of the wealthier nations. They have to keep coming up with new schemes and reasons to take our money.

See, if they were really interested in taxing fossil fuels to encourage people to conserve their use then it would be a universal tax. But that would effect the third-worlders negatively, even though it would cost us far more. And that's really what this is about: transferring more of our money to them under some BS title.

"You give aid dollars? Well, not enough. Now you pay our tax too!"
