Love that movie.  One of the few movies that actually scared me to some degree.

they were supposed to come up with a video game based on this version of the thing, anyone know what happened with that?

I think that's one of the few remakes that's better than the original.

I have it for the Xbox. Pretty good. Hard though.

I have it on DVD...It's a great movie to watch when it's -20 below zero.

Those days are right around the corner.

That and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".  The mid-70s one with Donald Sutherland.  Toned down the sci-fi and made it more of a horror movie.

A lot closer to the short story "Who Goes There?".
Scared the beejeebers out of me when I saw it in the theater way back in '82.  Crow!, the head-spider scene still gives me creeps to this day.  Lots of zippo action which is always a plus.

funny, but the original one, with James Arness as the monster, was just on some movie channel last night...I caught the tail end of it.  Even then, there was no mistaking Arness' walk...almost as distinctive as John Wayne's.

hey....I got an idea. The Predator and the Alien vs the Thing! Yeah! a blockbuster! Send $100,000,000 for the script.
