Which do you like better? I like 24 better. But, The Shield is pretty cool too.

I'd make it a poll, but I don't know how.

wow, this is a tuff question.  i love both shows, but for different reasons.  i voted for the shield b/c it is technically better written and much more 'deep'.  the characters are extremely complex and human.  but, it is a very heavy show.  i don't think i have every laughed w/ the show.

on the other hand, 24 is a superhero show where jack is only short a cape.  but it is damn fun to watch.  who doesn't like superheroes?  i cheer outloud at least once every episode.

I  prefer the Sheild , 24 is just too goofy and inaccurate for my tastes

24 is ER with guns, a chick show. The Shield is the first of a new breed of more mature entertainment broadcast TV. 'House' is in the same vein. These mature themes wouldn't have be allowed a few years ago. HBO changed all that, and the networks are scambling to catch up. I'm so sick of 'everything will turn out alright at the end of the hour' TV.

The Shield.  I watched some of the 24 reruns on A&E a month ago, and just couldn't get into it.  I've missed maybe two episodes the entire run of The Shield.

+1,000

ETA: Watching 24 just pisses me off. Jack Bauer is so cool, he can defeat 15 guys with long guns, with just 1 pistol!! He might even be able to kick the shit out of Chuck Norris!

"24", never got into the Shield, tried to watch one episode a few months ago. Some bald cop dude was being forced to retire early or something, boring!

I like the shield, but not as much as the 1st season. It seems like now they are showing as much nudity and poor language as they can get away with, just for the shock value....instead of letting the story line dictate it.....still good show though.....

The Shield...

There's just something about that ethically-challenged loose canon known as Vic Mackey that I like...

Right or Wrong, most of the time he's watching out for #1. But he does have a "soft-spot" for kids...
