I spotted this on Netflix just last night.  Hey, it wasn't bad.

It is about a CIA operative who teams up with an existing squad to patrol a suspicious area in the mountains of Afghanistan.  Netflix listed it in the "Scary Movies" section, which I thought was odd and intriguing.

I thought it was worth watching.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

IMDB Link... they should have kept the Djin special effects out of it and left it for the viewer to imagine what was being seen.. IMHO

Those were very sparsely used.  I thought they were decent, that is used sparingly (about a minute total in the whole film) and reasonably well done.

I wonder if a sequel is a possibility.

Premise seemed new to me... depends how the first fared in sales

I thought it was very cool when they get "hit" at night.  The end could've been a bit better but still was pretty cool.

I enjoyed the movie though there were a few letdowns. It was a solid B flick but I'm not using that as an epithet.

Yes, somewhat new.

It seemed to be a blend of scary monster movie and a war story.  It wasn't as gross a blend as Starship Troopers or Stargate.  It was subtle.  The subtle blend was new.

I think this is a bit new, at least it seems that way.  Another example is MONK.  That show is a blend of pure, unadulterated Lucille Ball (physical comedy) and a serious cop show.

One of the SF guys is actually a SEAL and was in the SEAL BUDS show on Discovery/Military channel.  I think his name was Mad Max.
