Have any of you guys ever caught this movie? Ive just watched it, and IMO one of the most unintentionally funny films of all times. For starters its such a rip-off of rambo: first blood, it stars Benicio Del Toro as the ex special forces guy who cant cope with the nightmares and Tomy Lee Jones as his mentor who has to stop him. The funniest scene in the whole film is close to the end where Del Toro is on the run with the FBI on his ass, so what does he do? He stops lights a fire and FORGES a Knife from a piece of scrap metal! h edt for spelling |
Benicio wasnt the best pick for that role IMO, cheesball movie and all. Tommy Lee was ok I guess![]() What got me laughing was the opening scene I think, where he was tasked with killing some high ranking topdog, urban warfare going all around and he's armed with just a knife to do the job. |
| I want one of those tracker knives but I would not spend $300 on it. You can forge a weapon from scrap but even the best would take hours to do so, flint knapping works too it is just more brittle than metal. Noone however can throw and stick a knife at 30-40 yards though thats hollywood. |
One of my friends bought one NIB off ebay for aroun $220 IIRC. It is a beast! |
| Couldn't stop laughing. Let's see here... the scene where Tommy eschews the female agent's gun in favor of chasing Del Torro armed with a knife. Or where the knife thrown can penetrate like 6" into a tree. Or maybe where Del Torro while on-the-run has time to make all kinds of booby-traps and such and lie in wait for Tommy. I can't believe that Hollyweird thinks we're this stupid... |
Well, it is just a movie after all. |
Yea the trap he sets at the end with the two big logs and the hook is like something from an Indiana Jones film. |
