The new Sig P365 killer (S&W CSX) AKA "Chief's Special" review is up.
The NEW Smith & Wesson CSX Review: What is it? |
|
I like that it has a hammer. It's not like S&w is garbage. I've carried and shot a shield for years with no issues.
*eta, full ambi for us lefties is a nice plus, 12+1 is good too. |
|
Hold on, let’s hear him out.
What makes it a P365 killer? Why wouldn’t the Shield Plus be S&W’s attempt to take out the P365? |

He actually stated, why own a Shield Plus if you could get the CSX during the review. |

One of my first pistols was a Star Firestar Plus. It was a compact, single action 9mm that held 12 rounds and this was a long time ago.

Be interesting to see one side by side with a G26. Looks neat but unless you an SAO guy or gal, I’m not sure it really brings enough to the table to be worth the squeeze.

This compares more to the Sig p938 rather than the 365 in my opinion.
|
|
I'm pretty happy with my old Shield with Apex parts but I'd really like to try one of the CSXs.

Full size with an apex trigger will be nice. Basically the mass produced 2011 I’ve been waiting for

That’s not going to replace any guns in my carry rotation. Zero chance

Nice video Jimmy!
SAO isn’t for everyone, but options are options! At least you didn’t have to go far for saltwater. Lol |
|
Make it DA/SA with a decocker and no safety, I’d buy one tomorrow
Hard pass in the current config |
|
Dupe, seven page thread already in existence in GD and OP's video was already posted on page 6.
Who called this a 365 killer? |
|
I'd be down for something new that size in DA/SA, but not really interested in safeties.

False. |

View Quote It's meant for those who still carry Mustangs and their 380 and 9x19 clones, like a 938. Unless someone is trying to make you buy one, I'd relax really about whom you think this is for. |
|
It all about options. I doubt it's a p365 killer but, it may work better for someone better than the 365. I had a 365XL and replaced it with a Shield Plus because the grip fit my hand better.

My small gun evolution has been shield then a p938 and no a p365. It’s no p365 killer but it murders the p938. The 365 will have a place in the roatation until something can dethrone it. The plan is an Icarus frame, tlr7, pmm comp, rmr cc, and mag guts.

Then it does not even have a rail or option for optics. If you want to play the 2011 you have to be willing to pay for it. |

First thing I thought was S&W 3rd Gen pistols.
I like a 13 round 3913. |

“The trigger, like your mom, could lose a little weight”
Love it! |

If you want to play the 2011 you have to be willing to pay for it. I wonder how the trigger will be once they really start shipping. The lack of a rail is really an odd choice these days but I'd bet they'll have optics ready models soon. |

If you want to play the 2011 you have to be willing to pay for it. Ever tried an apex trigger on the 2.0s? I’m guessing not. No reason full size wouldn’t have a rail. And factory optics mount suck anyways, get it milled if you want |

Not a "P365 killer" but for certain people (such as myself) it definitely holds a certain appeal.
I like the size, capacity, strong but light metal frame, SA trigger, hammer fired OS, and ambi-everything. Not a "game changer", but I expect it will have its fair share of adopters. |
|
Has potential.... not good enough yet. What lawyer decided on 6lb trigger?
