Obamacare claims another middle class victim.

My wife's policy went up $114 and my policy went up $100 a month.  Our deductibles went from $2500 to $5000 and our max out of pocket also doubled.

Affordable Care Act?  Affordable for who?

"We need to pass the bill so we can find out what's in it"

ETA: I know what's in it.  One more step toward bleeding the middle class out of existence so only slaves and "technocratic gods" remain.

Blind confidence in the democrats who know what is best for the country.

Remember that every single House Democrat and every single Democrat Senator voted yes on the bill to become the law of the land.

November 2014 can not come soon enough!  Meantime,  a little wealth transfer to help with the fundamental transformation of America.

It can't be possible they went up.

Obama said they would go down by $2,5000.

You aren't saying the Dear Leader was wrong, are you comrade?

It's affordable now for the government as you won't be going to the doctor nearly as much and Obummer can pocket your dollars. FBHO

I have to pay $14 A week starting next year. The following year we are going to be screwed. It'll probably jump fivefold.

It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think that we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication and a government bureaucracy to administer it.

Common sense is a wonderful thing.  Too bad so many lack it !

Is it Employer Provided or Personal?

I wonder how many idiots voted for or against obunghole due to his perceived ethnicity. Lack of common sense has taken a backseat to pure stupidity in our country.

The Employer Mandate does not kick in until next year.  That one will be REALLY BIG!

Personal.
Link Posted: 11/21/2013 11:20:50 AM EDT
Clarification:

I pay 100% for my wife's individual policy out of pocket.

My insurance situation is odd.  Employer reimbursement (up to a limit) or take the company policy.

Based upon Nobama's announcement we're not sure if my wife's will be going up or not.  She was in the 6% that was affected.  After asking specifically why my policy rate went up I was told "other factors"....group rates, etc.
Link Posted: 11/21/2013 11:23:46 AM EDT
No other thing....

We had my wife's agent quote Humana (she currently has Anthem).  Humana came back with a lower rate, but they added a rider that specifically stated they would NOT pay for treatments of a medical condition she has for a "12 month period".

I guess the Affordable Scare Act says they cannot deny coverage based upon pre-existing conditions, but it must not say they have to cover them .

Its almost like politicians wrote this legislation with the assistance of the insure lobby....

It is neither Affordable, nor provides Care, nor Acts! They should rename the bill. Maybe S*** Hidden Inside Technocracies.

Ok so I made that last word up. It's a Bushism, but you all know what I meant. Hey.. look at that acronym. I must make my parents so proud!

But seriously, the employer mandate will be bad. I give the USA 2 years before the system crashes and that little stunt with EBT in LA and other places will look like a girl scout bake sale.

Please call this mess by it's proper name. OBAMACARE .He wanted it as his legacy. I think the way it is turning out fits him perfectly.  His whole time in office has been one cluster after another.

I see your choice of the word "cluster" and must take exception.  A cluster, to me, is something contained or small in size.
What Obama has done to our country in just five years is EPIC.  Not only has he totally destroyed what we stood for well over  200 years, but he has managed to also introduce chaos to other parts of the world.  I guess that is what he meant when he said he was a "citizen of the world"?

Anyone who still can not see what this man's purpose is, is beyond anything I can write on this forum.

Sir,upon reading your comments, I realize how pitiful my statement about Obamacare was. I couldn't hold your clipboard when it comes to describing the situation we find our selves in. Knowing that the fools who support him are trying to switch the name to Affortable Care Act in order to get his name off that mess. I felt I had to say something. Thank you for your correction. Your comments are 100% correct.

Obama Stars in The No-Name Law That Sank His Party
By Clarice Feldman
When the Pelosi-Reid-Obama troika triumphantly celebrated cramming through the ACA (Affordable Care Act) over majority sentiment, they crowed that this was the president's signature achievement and ACA soon took on the name of its creator, ObamaCare. Though not one of them, nor any of the Democrats in the Senate who voted it into law uni-partisanly had read it, they all assured us that we'd grow to really, really like it. Boy, were they wrong.

I truly wish the biggest problem with this albatross around the country's neck was a 1.50/person.

Yes boy do i feel stupid. After arguing about this topic for sometime i went dumb. Lol. My math is horrible. Sorry for the asinine post. Unrooting head from ass!!
Im just furious on how stupid this whole obamacare affordable care act is. Tell me how someone in their right mind will think this will work.
And the fact that people actually defend this policy. Its as if cause their guy won so no matter what it must be right and they stand up and defend this as such. FAILURE
Link Posted: 12/11/2013 1:49:40 PM EDT
It really is not stupid at all if you understand what the end goal is.
Obama is hoping the American people get fed up with insurance companies and the "so very expensive" healthcare needed to live to ninety, and then the sheeple will welcome the Federal gov. as the SAVIOR of the masses.
Socialism gets you to want it, and then communism makes you accept it, socialism is only a more palatable term than communism.

Any doubt what Obama's philosophy is?

Your civics classes need more students if this mess is going to be turned around. Some of these low information voters need to start coming to class. Good luck with that professor.
