The Terminator wins hands down
The predator is organic the terminator has a nuclear fuel cell It would be difficult to defeat an opponent with a heuristic targeting computer and that can run nonstop for 125 years lets see the predator walk out of an exploding gasoline tanker truck |

This is totally dependent on if the Predators were overconfident and jumped into a melee fight with terminators. If so, terminators. If predators went tactical, Predators own ass with much better weaponry. (Essentially it comes down to what weapons used (hell, we are on a weapon forum after all)
Edit. Haven't you guys seen the crazy disc the predators use to cut through pretty much anything? Doubt terminators are made of an alloy that can withstand those discs. |

I guess it would come down to who's technology is superior, which would be the predator. He's part of an alien race that has mastered interplanetary space travel and hunts different species for fun as opposed to a slow moving mass produced genocide machine |

| predators hunt humans, that is their experience. Dealing with a terminator would be something different altogether. Without know what a Terminator is capable of I would imagine that would be a disadvantage. you dont have a ton of time to 'figure one out' before it.... well... terminates you. A Terminator would treat any target with the same level of extermination. |

Catherine Weaver (T-1001 from SCC) would defeat predators with exception of a whole squad of predators. But once you add in a hive mind of terminators, it becomes a losing war.
Against T-8XX series, it is about even one to one, even squad to squad. Melee attacks are about the same, Standoff attacks would benefit the Predators. But once the predator attack from ranges, the Terminators will do their counter-Attack. |

The terminator is a single purpose, killing machine built for combat, and can take much more damage than the predator before being put out of action.
Nuclear power versus biological metabolism. It can also say "fuck you assole" and "I'll be back". It wins every time. |

Yeah, Predator got outsmarted by the govenator in the heat of battle due to a trap but at least he acknowledged the presence of one and avoided it. Termanator was killed by a hydraulic press due to Tunnel vision and the lack of free thinking. He is pre programmed and cannot think, this allowed his to get killed by the press. Predator could sit in a tree, sip on an alien brain MaI Tai, and blow the termanator to kingdom come with his shoulder cannon. |

the thing that makes this thread kind of dumb is the capabilites of both characters are demonstrated in detail and the terminator far outclasses the predators
in the one movie a predtor is defeated by a guy with a samurai sword the terminator fires a machinegun with one hand on a motorcycle using a targeting computer there's no comparison the terminator is able to track two different targets using both eyes independedly and predict target locations using statistical analysis and the predator is fooled by smearing mud on your skin |

Arnold Wins. ETA: Btw, the Predator wouldn't see anything or much of anything for the terminator, just a small dot for the Hydrogen power cell. Hydraulics don't generate as much heat as a human body.  Hydraulic systems create plenty of heat, but I think the the 600 or 800 would be no challenge vs the 1000 and whatever Lokken was. Interesting confrontation.
Predator hands down. The Predator has a few of it's technologies negated, yet still because of it's advanced intelligence has a leg up on machines that although have invented Time Travel have yet to even dabble in Space Travel as far as we know and seem to have their hands full dealing with raggedy-ass post-nuke homeless people armed with scraps. Predators have been an advanced technology based culture for ten's of thousands of years, as they built the Pyramids, and that technology they developed long before that. I think if the Predator understood he was dealing with a machine, would easily out think and out fight a machine that has been around for less than 20-30 years. They're smarter than humans for a start. Also the Terminator got killed by a homeless guy with a illegal DIY firework and his crippled floozy girlfriend that happened to get lucky with a printing press. Not exactly the A-Team...

In the "real world", a Terminator would be unstoppable. What was portrayed in the movies was a slow, cumbersome robot (yes, slow) that couldn't hit shit.
If/when perfected, organics would have zero chance against autonomous killer death robots with instantaneous targeting and near perfect accuracy. |
