Should I get myself a lawyer or deal with it myself, we have a court date on May 15th, that is Tuesday next week?
That would be in Las Vegas, Nevada...

Anybody could help me?

We're having problem  collecting rental payment from our tenants. We had filed an eviction (5 days notice to pay or leave) and 30 days notice to end the contract since we only have month to month contract. This guy is so arrogant and he know he can use the law against me. He's deceitful and has a lot of run arounds he use.

I know I didn't do nothing wrong. I just want a peace of mind that justice will be serve.

Get ready for a fight. Landlords take the long arm of the law in the pooper
at every turn. Possession is 9/10's of the law.

Not sure about AZ law but you need to have the guy served the eviction notice by the sheriff. Or it doesn't count when you get to court. Been there done that he had free legal aid that my taxes paid for. Takes 90 days start to finish.

Eviction was served and he applied for stay. He (tenant) didn't show-up on our court date yesterday.

congrats! sounds like it went well.

I've always rented houses so far. I go out of my way to keep the landlord happy. I hate moving. lol...

Not paying rent on time is just plain lazy.
