I signed up for a team membership yesterday, sent in a PayPal payment (which has cleared), and included my user name. My question to you folks is, how long does it normally take to get set up with a Team Member account ?

I know it varies. Goatboy has a tight schedule. Don't worry, it'll happen. Shooter_gal49 bought a Platinum Membership last Saturday and she hasn't been upgraded yet. That tells me that the Goat has his plate full at the moment.
