I have tried EVERYTHING (at least i can think of, that's why I am asking you guys)

Made target stands out of PVC.. people shot them up

Made target stands out of 2 x 4's.. people shot them up

Made target stands out of 1 x 2's.. people shot them up

Made target stands out of 1/2" pipe.. people shot them up

What have you guys found that works decent yet you dont get all ticked when others shoot them up? I understand that things will get shot up. It IS a gun range after all but there has GOT to be a better way

I made up some nice ones out of PVC using 1x2's as uprights.  The PVC parts extend less than one foot from the ground.

Never once have damaged the PVC in thousands of rounds.  The uprights get chewed up after awhile but they are dirt cheap and expendable.

I made some pvc ones. So long as I was shooting no problems.

My nephews destroyed them in a matter of minutes.

I built mine out of 2x4, and take it home with me every time I leave the range. I don't trust most folks.

Fact of life. Best you can do is make the uprights out of the cheapest 1x2 strapping you can find so that upkeep is as inexpensive as possible.

I have found that the sign's that a lot of realestate people use to advertise on the side of the road with work great. Some of them are pretty heavy duty and around 5' tall and you use your foot to push it in the ground. Placed close to the bottom of a hill can put your target at whatever hieght you want.

I found 4 of them at a yard sale for a dollar each. If your not that lucky you could just borrow one.
