I have a Sony KV-30HS420 (about 2 years old) with a HD box and xbox 360 hooked up to it. (video sources 5 & 6) Starting today, no matter what video source I'm in, it will automatically populate the favorite analog channels list and pick channel 2. This causes it to jump out of whatever video source I was in to a screen full of static. I thought at first I had accidentally nudged the remote or whatever but now it happens within seconds of switching it back to HD mode or Xbox mode. So I then figured maybe the remote was just fucked up and causing it to send that command to the TV to change channels. I took out the damn batteries to the remote for the TV and HD box remote but same shit still happens? Any ideas what would cause the TV to populate the channels list and pick channel 2 (static channel) by itself? Do I have a zombie TV? Please help, this is getting on my damn nerves. |

Freaky but I once had my HD box constantly reset itself when it was tuned into a specific HD/digital channel. The local PBS secondary channel was sending a weird signal. I had to quickly change channels when it came back up otherwise it would reboot. I spoke to the engineer at the TV station and he indeed was having some weird signal stuff happening. He got a new piece of equipment for the transmitter and the box finally quit rebooting on that station. He never heard of this but he says strange shit has happened before. |
