Got me a $10K pay raise for next year, a $5K bonus, and an invitation to become partner. After my buy in is over (three years), I'll be making tripple what I make now! Finally. Fucking FINALLY. I've been busing my ass for 8 years and will now have some good dividends for all this hard work. To you younger guys: Don't be afraid to take a risk. I was working two jobs in college, including flipping burgers and waiting tables, and no one in my family ever graduated college much less professional school. Set some goals, be a good person, and WORK YOUR ASS off and you can accomoplish anything! WOOT! Someone give me some links to a Class III dealer! (Uh... just realized my child support is going to go way the hell up too. I wouln't mind so much if the $$ went to my kid for sure, but it winds up being ex-wife lifestyle support in actuality). |
Commercial litigation, construction law and contractor liens, real estate title disputes and plenty of other stuff. Lenders, developers and right now quite a few distressed project workouts. My biggest deal right now is on a massive project that went tits up and I represent some lenders in the process of fighting off mechanics lien claimaints to get the real property security foreclosed so as to try and get some satisfaction on their notes. The project is hugely upside down with lenders representing about $16m of debt picking on the carcass of a development firm with assets just under $13M. People are going to bleed on this one, but my guys are in decent shape. Actually, I've got two or three of these types of work outs going on right now right now. Word to the wise: Just because you have a trust fund from mommy and daddy, or you made $1mil in tech stocks, that doesn't mean you should try to be a property developer. There are a zillion pitfalls, and I've seen it all recently. |
