Anybody have this game? I just reinstalled it today and was trying to see if I could do some nuclear war scenarios including building nukes in Iran(not done yet). Except use any nukes, no countries will retaliate! It is pissing me off. I played it before and it was easy to start Armageddon.

never hear of it, but I might just have to pick it and give it a try. How is the over all game play?

It's worth 5 bucks and maybe even 10 but I wouldn't pay more than that. It's like complicated risk+google earth+social studies class.

I have it and love it, though the game has major flaws. It's just a graphical spread sheet. I've taken the game apart and back together.

I'm currently playing, and having quite a bit of fun trying to take over the world. I started as the US, and had it as free a country as I could. Then I took over Canada and although much of the world declared war on me, nobody did anything. After I annexed them and made them part of the US, everyone went back to peace with me. Then I started my campaign and went to take over Mexico and kept going south until I had taken over Panama. Once I had annexed all of north and central America, the world was again at peace with me. A bit later, I started to slowly turn my American Union into a place without freedom(the democrats were in power at the time). Then I decided I wanted to take over south america. I attacked Columbia and all of a sudden most of the world went to war with me like before except they actually sent troops. I have been warring ever since. I sent some huge armies to try and take over greenland and iceland but the world community sent troops to help them out and made me use up lots of money. There was a nuclear attack on Denmark, and the UK attacked me. I then turned the UK into a parking lot and realized I had used up much of my nuclear arsenal. I designed a new ICBM that is bigger and better than any ever before seen and called it Juggernaut I. I am currently building up huge armies as I type this up and am just waiting.

Trying playing as the Dem Rep of the Congo! That's how you know if you're an experienced player. If you don't do everything just right, you'll go tits-up in 6 days!

It's ok.

Taiwan invaded Israel when I was playing it....

I was Egypt when China invaded me out of the blue. I've also seen land-locked wars happen. Nepal vs. Mongolia was a hoot.

Well I forgot to save for like 14 years in game and then it crashed...

So I decided to start a game as South Africa and to take over and make Africa not so shitty. Then take over the world. Muhahahahahaha!!!

I had the original...for 5 bucks.

Seemed clunky, the concept had a lot of potential but the actual game was blah.

Unfortunate...I was hoping for something like "Balance of Power" on turbo.

I probably get more out of Civ IV...yes, even Nukes...delightful, delicious Nukes!!

My only gripe is that tac nukes got deleted in the upgrade of Civ III to Civ IV.

Quick hint. Hit the windows key in game and in the console type in set_speed X. Make x whatever number. I like it set to 20.

I had the original superpower and did enjoy playing it but lock ups seemed to be a huge issue and would piss me off endlessly if I hadn't saved in awhile, does this one still have alot of issues with locking up?

It doesn't lock up, just crashes. If you put too much stress, like launching 50,000 nukes, it'll crash. Don't kill half your pop and expect your %'s of religion and language to be rational numbers, either. I had -500% Spanish speakers once. Stuff like that.

Well I just found out that I saved my South Africa game just before an election(which I lose) so I had to start over...

So I started over and wanted to get my domination in early so I could get a bunch of money, selling those resources from other countries. Except the thing is, once I invaded Nambia the shtf. Like half of Europe came and whooped my ass. Now all the surrounding countries which I had been annexing, are filled with foreign troops that destroyed my armies and now I just have to rebuild without invading.

Jeeze, the USA has over 10 trillion dollars in the coffers while China has about 47 trillion in debt.

And now I'm pissed because for some reason, I can't build any troops or units.
