I'm running a gaming rig with an Intel Core i7 990X six core, 12 GB of DDR3 RAM, and a GeForce 590 GTX.
Up until a short time ago, I killed anything I ran, even dialed way up. I just noticed a couple days ago, that games it used to kill started to Microstutter. Namely Crysis and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I fixed the problem in COD by telling it to sync every frame, but that option doesn't exist in Crysis. Been messing with settings all night. I updated drivers and tried everything I could think of, including system scans and checks. Everything I read seems to want to blame it on a driver issue with mutli-GPUs, but it's never happened before for me. It came very suddenly, with no warning. Was wondering if anyone here knew how to deal with it or fix it? It doesn't start right away. I have to play for about a minute or two, but then it kicks in, and is very regular. It's driving me crazy. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

If you recently updated your video drivers, downgrade to the one you had prior. the Nvidia control panel allows you to force certain settings in games. Check it out and see if you can force sync. If you did not upgrade your drivers, try to upgrade them. If nothing you do fixes it, the card possibly could be dying. |
