I've got a video of a F350 lifted with big tires running an 11 second 1/4 mile. Damned thing smokes like a freight train and runs like a Ferrari. Damnedest thing I ever did see.

Found it online (My server is out of bandwidth)

The stupidity of some people is amazing

Guy watched too many episodes of The Fallguy. It is great when you see stupidity rewarded like that.

truck hits pole, lol
Link Posted: 8/21/2004 6:09:42 AM EST
Dumb ass. LOL
Link Posted: 8/21/2004 6:18:06 AM EST
It took me a while to realize that there was no driver. It would have been stupid enough for the driver to crash, but to actually have no driver and assume the truck would go straight? GEEZ! HA HA HA!
Link Posted: 8/21/2004 6:23:48 AM EST
What's stupid about that? I'd love to do that.

I've seen that before and that guy is low on the intelligence scale for sure! I'm sure he told the truth to his insurance company about how it happened,, that is, if he had insurance. Maybe it was "daddys" truck and when he got home to his basement bedroom, he had to explain it all to his family, and his dad whipped out his belt!

When a fire hydrant shears, the water spout is instantaneous. Notice the lack of water. Looks like Hollywood.
Link Posted: 8/21/2004 6:55:52 AM EST
I said this before but I think it is worth repeating. "It is time to thin the herd"
Link Posted: 8/21/2004 7:02:41 AM EST
Did you notice that when the hydrant broke off, water did not start gushing out like it does in the movies , this guy must have been really bored that day !!!!

So this guy trashed his truck for 15 seconds of...fun...stupidity...?

Doesn't seem worth it to me. I'd rather keep my truck and my pride.

DITTO!
I wonder what that things got under the hood...

The guy in the F350 that ran an 11.42 is Maddog from thedieselstop.com. He has a Cummins swapped in, making 800hp and 1300 lb-ft of torque.

Q: Will a fire hydrant shoot water skyward when hit by a car, just like in the movies?

No...in most cases, it doesn't
Unless the hydrant happened to be turned on when it was sheared.
