Of the three diferrent parenthesis on the keyboard, [ ], { }, and (), is there a standard format / use for each different type in normal use (excluding programing, math equations, etc.)

I need to get a book like the one I had back in high school which had all of the standard formats for business letters, memos, etc.  I'd replace my CRC handbook too if they weren't so expensive.

TIA

Nope.  But then, what do you define as "normal use"?

Thanks for the link.  I've seen brackets used in a few news stories lately (in places that you would nnormally see parenthesis) and was wondering about the acceptability of the subitiution.  My little finger can fiind the brackets a little easier than the parenthesis when typing and, being lazy, I was thinking about the subistition.
