You have obviously not met my little Ms. Aimless.

Or my Mrs-UHLEK-. She is actually the reason I asked you all how to do it. She didn't know either, but you didn't hear that from me. [;D]

We're a young couple, somethings we know how to do, others we don't. Baked Potatoes just made the former list. [:d]

UHLEK - I asked this question a few weeks ago.

First poke it with a fork a few times.

Turn your big oven to 400.

Give it about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending on size.

Poke fork into it, if it goes in easy and comes out easy, its done.

If you use a microwave, your on your own.

I'll try to keep it simple and type slowly so you don't miss any important information.

After stabbing the potato remove the knife.

Butter or oil the outside of the potato.

Do not foil wrap.

45 minutes in a 450 degree (F) oven.   Do not confuse the time for temperature or you will be very hungry when the baking is done.

And with gas prices nowdays, that will be a $15 baked potato! So put a napkin in your collar and light a candle or something.
