Help me out guys. My string trimmer starts up fine and runs with the choke on, but as soon as I squeeze the throttle it dies. What is wrong with it.

Thanks.

Mine did same last summer turned out a seal in the carb had cracked & would allow air in when throttled up.

A $10 seal kit should fix your issue.

Clean your air filter, replace your spark plug and fuel filter and see if it still happens.

If it does time to go into the carb.

They are super simple and easy to clean and rebuild. You can get a rebuild kit for fairly cheap and do it yourself.

Also check your spark arestor. It could be clogged up with carbon and need cleaned.
