Driving around today I thought of a story from years ago. IIRC a guy was driving his car on a little used road. His car went off the road, he was stuck in his car, unable to move, for several days, all while the cassette tape he had in his car stereo repeated over and over for  several days until he was found.

So if this happened to you, what would be the one album you could stand listening to over and over and over for 3 or 4 days...and what album would you absolutely HATE to be stuck with in the same circumstance???

I would shoot the stereo after one day of ANY album.

i had something like that happen to me once.  i volenteered to drive a car about 400 miles for someone once.  i brought CDs and the car had a cassette player, no radio antenna.

the tape was "Buck Cherry".  every time i hear "play that funkey music white boy" my ears bleed and i pass out.

could maybe handle it:  Pink Floyd mp3 disc...their songs vary in style enough to where I might not bore of it

shoot me now:  Country Hits mp3 disc...I can only handle country in small, short doses

When I was 8 or 9 yo, my mom drove me to IL from NC to visit grandma over the summer.  We had an Osmond Brothers 8-Track with this one song 'Crazy Horses' I made her play over and over.  For some reason, that 8-track disappered before the drive home  (hey, I was only 8 in the early '70s )

Sounds like BS to me.

I kinda doubt any car battery would hold up that long before the juice was drained from it.

AC/DC-Back In Black

Metallica-S&M

Godsmack-Godsmack

Which album would I not want to keep repeating?  Any country or rap album.  I'd break my stereo before I would sit and listen to that shit for 3 days.

I'll take one of those "nature sounds" CDs.     Birds chirping and waves breaking can't be too bad as I slowly fall into an emotional hell.

I think I'd still love it afterwards.    To me it's the best album EVER.  Not one song on it is a dog.

Saw him in Tampa playing at the Tampa Ja-Lai (sp?) fronton when that album came out, very good concert.

"Dino: The essential Dean Martin" has 30 songs  from both of the labels he recorded for.

I think that's one of the CD's I could probably stand for three days in a row.

Any album would suck after a few days on repeat, even Pink Floyd or the Doors.

I'd have to go with Beethoven or some other type of classical music.  No words to get stuck in your head, you'll just sit there in the snowbank feeling cold and sophisticated.

I would want a CD of something I never listen to anyway.  After 3 days your going to be so damn sick of ANYTHING that you will NEVER listen to it again.  It would suck to pick a CD you would otherwise listen to.
