Stop Treating Liberal Politicians Says Ontario Doctor

A doctor in Ontario wants his colleagues to stop treating Liberal MPPs to protest the physician shortage in that province.

Ken Milne said all doctors across the province of Ontario should drop Liberal MPPs and their families and replace them with people who currently have no family physician.

It is estimated that Ontario is short 2000 physicians, leaving close to one million people without access to a family doctor.

Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty says he wants to work with Ontario doctors to find a solution to the problem.

Ontario Medical Association president Dr. John Rapin said the association "can't condone targeting anyone," but added, "I can certainly understand Dr. Milne's frustration."
