I remember thinking how unlucky I was sitting in a air conditioned commo van while watching grunts dig a fighting position for an M60. And then having to move it three feet to the left. I've had to do that before. Except with a 240.......and it was about 8-9 feet to the right.......lol |

as a former 19D...you can all suck my sweaty nut sack Would it piss you off knowing that I (an 11B) have gold combat spurs? I even have the "Order of the Spur" certificate somewhere around here..... ![]() ![]()
Ah, the benefits of being in a Cav Scout Squadron, as an 11B........red-headed step children, we were not.

so you aren't a pog you are a boot. Where the individual held a Special Qualification Identifier (SQI) for special training or skills, the last character was an alphabetic SQI Code that indicated the qualification (e.g., in 11B1P. the "P" indicates "parachutist") |

I was a Marine Airwinger. While I can't say we "made fun" of Grunts, we certainly had some laughs because of them. We'd run into them from time to time on deployment, in airports or when we were on or near grunt bases. They all seemed miserable, and up tight. Most of them acted like they were still in bootcamp. |
